PFLAG Tri-Valley
About Us
Our chapter was founded in 2017 by a group of passionate and dedicated parents from Livermore, Dublin, and Pleasanton, California, who saw the need for a safe, supportive space where families and allies could come together to learn, share experiences, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. United by a common vision of creating a more inclusive and affirming community, we work to ensure that everyone—no matter their sexual orientation, gender identity, or background—feels valued, heard, and supported.

Support – PFLAG Tri-Valley hosts both in-person and online support groups each month for parents, families, and friends of LGBTQ+ individuals. These gatherings offer a safe space to celebrate our loved ones, share experiences, and provide comfort and guidance to those who may be facing challenges.
Education – We offer “Gender 101: Beyond the Binary” workshops for community partners, including local schools, non-profits, and other service organizations. These training sessions focus on understanding gender diversity, using inclusive language, and empowering participants to become active allies to the LGBTQ+ community.
Advocacy – PFLAG Tri-Valley collaborates with local and national organizations to raise awareness among key decision-makers about the issues that impact LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. We also work to equip others with the knowledge and tools to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, amplifying efforts toward a more inclusive and just society for all.
