PFLAG Tri-Valley
About Us
Our chapter was founded in 2017 by a group of passionate and dedicated parents from Livermore, Dublin, and Pleasanton, California, who saw the need for a safe, supportive space where families and allies could come together to learn, share experiences, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. United by a common vision of creating a more inclusive and affirming community, we work to ensure that everyone—no matter their sexual orientation, gender identity, or background—feels valued, heard, and supported.
Support – We host monthly community meetings, social events, and other community building activities throughout the year for family members of LGBTQ+ people, members of the LGBTQ+ community, & allies in the Tri-Valley area.
Education – We offer LGBTQIA+ inclusivity trainings and workshops for our community. Our goal is to meet people where they are and offer a safe space to learn, ask questions, and grow as an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Advocacy – PFLAG Tri-Valley collaborates with local and national organizations to raise awareness among key decision-makers about the issues that impact LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. We also work to equip others with the knowledge and tools to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, amplifying efforts toward a more inclusive and just society for all.
